Terms and Conditions – Alo Loco Tattoo

Last updated: 1 September 2025

Welcome to the website of Alo Loco Tattoo (“we”, “our”, “us”). By booking an appointment or using this website, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before making a booking.

1. Bookings & Deposits

  • All appointments must be booked in advance, either through our contact form or direct communication.

  • A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your appointment. This booking fee confirms your appointment and design preparation.

  • Deposits are deducted from the final balance of your tattoo (in multi-session projects, the deposit is deducted from the final session only).

  • Deposits protect the artist’s time and preparation work, including custom designs.

  • The deposit must be paid immediately at the end of the consultation.

  • If you fail to pay your deposit at this stage, the appointment cannot be confirmed.

2. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • If you need to reschedule, you must provide a minimum of 14 days’ notice.

  • Your deposit can be transferred to a new date once only.

  • A cancellation fee equal to your full deposit will be charged for any appointment not kept or cancelled with less than 14 days’ notice.

  • If you cancel at the last minute or repeatedly reschedule, your deposit may be forfeited and a new one required.

  • For bookings made during a tattoo convention or guest spot, appointment dates cannot be changed under any circumstances.

  • We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstances (illness, emergencies, or studio closure).

3. Punctuality

  • You will be advised of your arrival time, and it is essential that you are punctual.

  • Arriving late may prevent the tattoo from being completed on the day. Any unfinished work will require an additional session, which will be charged.

4. Health & Safety

    • You must be at least 18 years old to receive a tattoo. Proof of age (photo ID) may be required.

    • Please disclose any relevant medical conditions, allergies, or skin sensitivities prior to your appointment.

    • We reserve the right to refuse service if we believe tattooing may present a risk to your health or safety.

    • If you are unwell in the days before your appointment (for example fever, flu, or other illness), your session may not be able to proceed and cancellation terms will apply.

    • All equipment is sterilised, and strict hygiene procedures are followed in line with UK and EU health standards.

5. Liability

  • While every care is taken, tattoos are applied at your own risk.

  • We are not responsible for adverse reactions, improper healing, or complications that arise due to failure to follow aftercare instructions.

  • We cannot guarantee exact outcomes of tattoos, including colour, tone, or long-term appearance.

6. Aftercare

  • You will be provided with full aftercare guidance. It is your responsibility to follow this advice to ensure proper healing.

  • We are not responsible for issues caused by neglecting aftercare.

7. Pricing & Payments

  • Prices are agreed prior to the appointment where possible.

  • Large-scale projects (sleeves, back pieces, bodysuits) may require multiple sessions, with costs reviewed as the work progresses.

  • All payments must be made on the day of the appointment unless otherwise agreed.

  • Additional sessions required due to lateness or non-compliance with aftercare will be charged.

8. Artwork & Copyright

  • All tattoo designs created by Alo Loco Tattoo are original works of art.

  • Designs are provided for the client’s personal use only and may not be reproduced, copied, or used by another artist without written permission.

  • Artwork is not released to clients prior to the appointment.

  • This process ensures that tattoos are designed specifically for each client and prevents designs from being reused elsewhere.

9. Photography & Video

  • Alo Loco Tattoo reserves the right to photograph and record tattoos for portfolio, website, and social media purposes.

  • Images will focus on the tattooed area and will not include identifying features without the client’s express consent.

  • Photography and video are vital tools that allow the artist to promote work on social media and build a portfolio.

  • Clients may exercise the right to refuse publication of their images. However, as the ability to showcase work is integral to the artist’s business, tattoos completed without the right to document may be subject to an adjusted, higher rate. This will be discussed during consultation and agreed before proceeding.

10. Website Use

  • The content on www.alolocotattoo.com is provided for general information and portfolio purposes only.

  • You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute images or text from this site without permission.

  • External links are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for the content or policies of external websites.

11. Privacy & Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Please read our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for details on how we handle your personal information.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
